Imagine two websites.

Website A

Beautiful.

Modern.

Amazing animations.

Perfect typography.

Looks incredible.

But…

It generates very few enquiries.

Website B

Simple.

Not flashy.

Fewer animations.

But visitors understand the offer immediately and regularly contact the business.

Which website is better?

I know which one I’d choose.

But here’s where it gets interesting:

A website doesn’t exist to impress the designer.

It exists to serve the business and the person using it.

So I’d rather have:

10% less ā€œwowā€

and

100% more clarity.

That’s why I think the best website isn’t necessarily the prettiest one.

It’s the one that does its job exceptionally well.
