I work extensively with WordPress and Elementor.
I like them.
But I wouldn’t recommend them simply because they’re what I know.
Sometimes:
WordPress makes sense.
Sometimes Webflow makes more sense.
Sometimes Wix is perfectly suitable.
Sometimes Kajabi is the smarter choice.
Sometimes a custom solution is justified.
The platform should follow the business model.
Not the developer’s preference.
I look at things like:
ā Who will manage the site?
ā What functionality is required?
ā How quickly does it need to launch?
ā Will it need e-commerce?
ā Courses or memberships?
ā Custom integrations?
ā How much flexibility will be needed later?
There isn’t one ābestā website platform.
There’s only:
The right platform for this particular problem.
That’s a distinction I think clients deserve to hear more often.
What platform has surprised youāpositively or negatively?
