Black Friday Is 25 Days Away. Is Your Website Ready?

Black Friday is on 27 November.

Most businesses will spend the next few weeks planning the offer.

The discount. The ads. The emails. The countdown.

Very few will check whether their website can actually handle what’s coming.

And the website is where every one of those clicks lands.

Here’s what I’d check this week, while there’s still time to fix things:

✔ Speed. Open your site on your phone, on mobile data. Does it feel slow? Big images are usually the first culprit.
✔ Mobile experience. Can someone find your offer and act on it with one thumb?
✔ Your call-to-action. Does every page tell visitors exactly what to do next?
✔ Forms and checkout. Place a test order. Send yourself a test enquiry. Did it arrive?
✔ Updates and backups. Update your plugins now, not the night before. And make sure a backup exists.
✔ Tracking. Is your analytics actually recording visits? You’ll want to know what worked.

None of this is glamorous.

But a great offer on a slow, broken or confusing website is just an expensive ad for your competitors.

25 days is enough time to fix most of it. The week of Black Friday isn’t.
